What is Therapy?
Therapy is designed to help clients of all ages understand how their feelings and thoughts affect the ways they act, react, and relate to others. Whether or not therapy works depends a great deal on the client’s willingness and ability to experience all relationships deeply, especially the therapeutic relationship. Clients have a unique opportunity to view themselves more accurately and to make connections between past and current conflicts that illuminate the way one relates to oneself and to others. The client will be encouraged to talk about thoughts and feelings that arise in therapy.
We offer confidential psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families, and run groups. I am also available for consultation and referrals. The benefit you receive from therapy is directly related to your feeling of comfort and connection with your therapist. I am committed to helping you receive the services best suited for you, and I am happy to discuss your circumstances to determine if working together would be a good fit. Please contact me for a free phone consultation. I also offer HIPPA compliant online therapy.
Group therapy is a type of psychotherapy that involves one or more therapists working with several people at the same time. Currently, I have an adolescent group, child social skills group, and a parenting group. If you are interested in joining our group, or you are a parent with questions, please feel free to contact me.
Appointments are generally available seven days a week. Sessions can be made for our Woodland Hills office or for online sessions. Generally, therapy sessions run 50 minutes, however, longer session times may also be arranged.
